Attending the Cannes Film Festival in France on Tuesday night, May 20 alongside his lover Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt obviously wanted to deny rumors that their relationship was on the rocks. "Brad made a point at Cannes to show he and Angelina are very much in love and together and he plans to do the same while promoting this movie elsewhere," a source close to the couple says.
"They are very aware of the effect all the talk of their so-called relationship troubles has on their kids and this is one way to show a united front," the source explains further, adding "They are both so supportive of each other anyway but they are making an extra effort to be seen as the perfect couple."
Recently, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were seen walking hand-in-hand when they came to the Cannes Film Festival premiere of his movie "Inglourious Basterds". At that time, the father of six told various publications that he was "in love and I have the most beautiful family - what else can a guy want? I am the happiest man ever."
