Brooke Shields Wishes She Lost Virginity Earlier Than 22

Beautiful Brooke Shields recently said that she regrets losing her virginity at the age of 22 and wishes she had sex earlier. The 44-year-old actress and model revealed that she used to have lack of self-confidence when it came to her appearance. Consequently, she put off from having sex.

To Health magazine, Shields admitted that not learning to love the way she looked earlier is her biggest health regret. In the interview, Shields said, "I think I would have had sex a lot earlier! I think I would have lost my virginity earlier than I did at 22."

"I had the public and all this pressure, and I wish I had just gotten it over with in the beginning when it was sort of OK. I think I would have been much more in touch with myself," she said to Health, before adding "I think I wouldn't have had issues with weight-I carried this protective 20 pounds [in college]. It was all connected. And to me, that's a health regret."

Her insecurity may come as a surprise since it came out from an actress who has reached fame since she was just 12 years old through the film "Pretty Baby" in which she became a prostitute. She also has shot love scenes with co-star Christopher Atkins in "The Blue Lagoon" when she was 15 years old.

Shields is currently married to writer Chris Henchy after her divorce from former famous tennis player Andre Agassi in 1999. She now has two daughters, Rowan Frances, 6 and Grier Hammond, 3 from her marriage with Henchy.
