The ex-heavyweight world champion Mike Tyson is grieving. His 4-year-old daughter, Exodus Tyson was pronounced dead at 11:45 A.M. at St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center after she was found hanging from a treadmill cord at Tyson's Phoenix home a day before, May 25.
The statement has just been released by a rep for the Phoenix Police Department, Sgt. Andy Hill, who informed, "I was just advised by investigators that Exodus Tyson was pronounced deceased at 11:45 AM today at the hospital." Hill added, "Our sympathies go out to the family."
Tyson also has released a statement regarding the loss of his daughter, saying "We are grateful for the tremendous outpouring of love and prayers from all over the world. There are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus." He asked for privacy during this difficult time, stating "We ask you now to please respect our need at this very difficult time for privacy to grieve and try to help each other heal."
Tyson's daughter was brought to the hospital on Monday morning after her 7-year-old brother found Exodus on the exercise machine with the neck on its power cable. The girl then was reported in critical condition and apparently didn't survive the tragic accident.
