Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are not in rush to get married since they already feel like married, adding that they will get married eventually.
Nicole Richie said she and Joel Madden will definitely get married someday. "I think for both of us, we are going to do it because we want to, not because that's what you do," Nicole said on "Larry King Live" Thursday, May 28, night. She added, "And we're - he's making an album right now and I've got my own thing going on, and we're going to do it when the time's right."
In another occasion, Nicole's partner, Joel, also expressed similar idea about their future marriage, saying "We're really focused on our family, and we feel like - we already feel kind of married, you know?" The Good Charlotte star continued, "We have a great - our family system that we have down we feel like this is a real family and marriage, one day it will come."
Nicole's father, Lionel Richie, who also came to the show supported his daughter's idea and wanted them "to take their time." The famous singer explained, "I'm more interested in whether they like each other and whether they're best friends. Because that means they'll be great parents forever."
Nicole also admitted that both she and Joel dream of marriage but they want to focus on their family as a foundation, saying "Right now we're really, really focused on our family. We're focused on our foundation, and as far as feeling that need of commitment, we both really have that in each other." Nicole added that they already call each other's parents as their in-laws.
When asked about whether she is expecting a baby boy or girl, pregnant Nicole who took her first daughter, Harlow, to the show said, "We want the surprise.... I'll get the clothes after."
