David Carradine was found dead on Thursday, June 4, with his body naked and hung in a hotel room in Bangkok, Thailand.
1970s actor, David Carradine, was found dead in a suite at the luxury Swissotel Nai Lert Park Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand on Thursday, June 4. His body hung from a rope in the closet of his hotel room. "I can confirm that we found his body, naked, hanging in the closet," said Thai police, Lt. Teerapop Luanseng.
Another officer informed there were no signs of other people found in the room and the body of the 72-year-old star was sent to a hospital for an autopsy. Police are still investigating the case while expecting the results of autopsy on Friday, June 5. So far, police suspected David's death was a suicide.
However, David's management and family disagreed with police's opinion, claiming that the son of actor John Carradine did not commit suicide. "The cause of death is still under investigation in Bangkok. All I can tell you is that David did not commit suicide. I can tell you that 100 percent. He would never commit suicide," his manager insisted.
A rep of David's management also reported, "His family is in shock." His niece, Martha Plimpton added, "The passing of someone so loved is extremely difficult under any circumstances, and I hope that all those in the media who admired David will respect his legacy and allow his family and loved ones to grieve peacefully."
David Carradine, famous for his television show "Kung Fu", was in Thailand to shoot a film called "Stretch." He left the U.S. for Thailand on May 29 and began filming the movie on Tuesday, June 2.
