'Twilight' heartthrob Cam Gigandet is slated to portray a bloodsucking sheriff on upcoming horror movie 'Priest'.
It seems that
Cam Gigandet is ready to play another role as a bloodsucking creature after starring as villain vampire James on "
Twilight" and "
The Twilight Saga's New Moon". The 26-year-old hunk is slated to portray a night-roaming sheriff on upcoming horror flick "
Priest".
"Priest" is directed by Scott Charles Stewart, and produced by Michael De Luca, Mitchell Peck, and Joshua Donen in association with Screen Gems. It is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on August 13, 2010.
The movie centers on a battle between human and vampires. Cam will co-star alongside British actor
Paul Bettany, a priest who is desperate to save his niece from a bloodthirsty pack of fang-toothed villains.
Beside starring on "Priest", Cam Gigandet is scheduled to play on thriller film "
The Roommate".
Leighton Meester, who also stars on "Gossip Girl", and
Minka Kelly will join him.
