'I support him in whatever he does,' says Kris Allen when talking about Adam Lambert and beau Drake LaBry's relationship.
says he really supports the relationship between his fellow contestant in "American Idol" 8th season
Adam Lambert and his interior designer boyfriend Drake LaBry. "I think he's happier that he can be himself and it's nice," he tells People. "Adam is who he is and he's not afraid. I support him in whatever he does."
Additionally, the 23-year-old singer opens up that he has met Drake, and thinks "he's a really nice guy." Kris also considers Adam and Drake's relationship as a "cool combination" because both of them are totally different. "Drake's from Louisiana and Adam is from L.A. But they click well and they're really nice together," he testifies.
Professionally, Kris Allen, who recently sang the National Anthem "Star Spangled Banner" at NBA finals, has signed a recording contract with 19 Recordings via Jive Records. Talking about his not-yet-titled CD, the Arkansas singer stated, "I felt like I did exactly what I wanted to do on the show that I would want to do on a record. When I went on the show and did 'Ain't No Sunshine,' I felt that was the kind of stuff that I wanted to do - stuff that kind of moves people and has that feeling."
