Kate Winslet thinks she needs a break from making movies since she is tired of getting too much attention from media.
Winning awards for her roles in some movies doesn't make
Kate Winslet deeply attached to her job. Recently, in an interview with Britain's Hello magazine, she talked about her plan to take a break from films.
Kate thought she needed a retreat from Hollywood because she felt overexposed and bored of living in the spotlight. "I think I have to take time off. I'm sick of me and I'm sure everybody else is too!" the wife of director Sam Mendes stated.
However, Kate would still love to do another kind of acting. The "Titanic" star uttered her interest in theater and a stage role in a musical which will challenge her skill. "But I would love to do some theatre. It would be a good challenge," she said, before adding "I need to keep scaring myself. And that would sufficiently scare me. Maybe a musical or something completely different."
Earlier this year, Kate Winslet has obtained some awards which included Academy Award for Best Actress in "
The Reader" and Golden Globe Award for her performance in "
Revolutionary Road".
