Famous celebrity couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, has donated $1 million to a Missouri hospital over the weekend, the 45-year-old actor's brother Doug Pitt confirms. Additionally, the Springfield News-Leader reports that the couple donated their money to help St. John's Hospital to establish endowment fund to pay children's cancer specialists.
The endowment fund will also be used to build a new pediatric unit, including a 10-bedroom hospital-based on Ronald McDonald house and doubling the size of the neonatal and pediatric intensive care units. In honor to Pitt's mother Jane Etta Hillhouse Pitt, who really concerns about children's issues, the cancer treatment unit of the hospital will be renamed the Jane Pitt Pediatric Cancer Center when it is opened in the summer.
In related news, Brad Pitt recently visited his living partner Angelina Jolie on the set of her upcoming flick "Salt" in Washington, DC. At that time, he went out without any of his children. "They had lots of fun and looked so in love," a witness previously said of the pair.
