Taylor Swift's music video for her song entitled "Love Story" grabbed an award for Video of the Year category during 2009 CMT Music Awards, which was held at Sommet Center in Nashville, Tennessee on Tuesday evening, June 16. For the same tune, the 19-year-old country singer also got a prize for the category of Female Video of the Year.
"I wanna thank CMT for letting me live so many of my dreams this year!" she said when giving a speech after winning Video of the Year award. "I want to thank Shania Twain for always making such theatrical videos and I want to thank Garth Brooks for always putting his fans first. I take my cues from you. And I want to thank my little brother, Austin, for agreeing to be my date tonight."
Beside winning two awards, Taylor Swift took the stage to perform that night. She rocked out on "You Belong with Me" and teamed up with Def Leppard on singing "Pour Some Sugar on Me" at the end of the event.
Another country singer who also won more than an award during the event was Brad Paisley. He became the fans' favorite for "Waitin' on a Woman" and grabbed Male Video of the Year gong.
