Reese Witherspoon is going to play the lead role in comedy film "Pharm Girl". Under her production house Type A banner, the actress will also serve as the producer of the movie. As apparent through the title, her role will have to deal with drugs.
The role that Reese is going to portray hasn't been named, but it is described as a woman who works at a big pharmaceutical company and gets a quick raise. As she becomes more successful within the company, she finds out the unsettling truth about the pharmaceutical industry and then tries to uncover it.
Writers of "Bad Santa", Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, are in process of writing "Pharm Girl" script and are in talks of directing the film. It was said that the involvement of Glenn and John in the project will make it funny and snarky.
However, the drug dealing comedy will not begin its shooting any time soon since Reese has many pre-production things which have not been settled. Beside "Pharm Girl", the star who is currently dating Jake Gyllenhaal has agreed to join in James L. Brooks' romantic comedy which is not yet titled.
