Cameron Diaz has been honored with the 2386th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, dedicating it to her friends and family who have helped her achieving success.
Cameron Diaz's celebrity status has been affirmed with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. On Monday afternoon, June 22, she was honored as the 2386th star whose name was cemented on Hollywood Boulevard. In front of Egyptian Theater, the actress received a plague from the mayor and city council, who determined June 22 as "Cameron Diaz Day" in Hollywood.
Cameron, who was wearing white embroidered dress with red belt around her waist, thanked her friends and family who have helped her achieving success, stating "They have my back." She also dedicated the star to her mom and late dad whose eternal love has given her "the strength and courage to live this extraordinary life."
Cameron celebrated the star with her older sister, Chimene, and some celebrity pals including Lucy Liu,
Tom Cruise,
Katie Holmes and directors McG and Danny Boyle. "It will be cool to be under people's feet," she told Hollywood Reporter. "It really is the place where people can understand exactly that actors are not really stars - they don't exist in the sky, they exist on the ground just like everybody else," the "
My Sister's Keeper" starlet commented about her Walk of Fame star.
