Linkin Park have performed at the after-party for the Los Angeles premiere of "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen". The movie premiere itself took place at the Mann Theater in the Westwood Village on Monday, June 22 as part of the L.A. Film Festival. Entertaining the flock who gathered at the screening of Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf's film, the band sang their song "New Divide" which appears on the soundtrack album of the movie.
Just hours before the premiere, Linkin Park announced outside the theater that they would be performing a full concert after the movie screening. After the stars, like Megan, Shia and Josh Duhamel, got into the building, crew began assembling a band riser and set up barricade along the street.
"New Divide" was specially written and recorded for "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen". Linkin Park worked together with Hans Zimmer, a famous film composer, who added some string and horn arrangements into the song. The track was soon listed in the top 10 of Billboard's Hot 100 and Alternative Charts after making its radio debut.
