Zac Efron has signed on to star in an untitled sexy thriller movie project, for which he will also serve as the executive producer.
has signed a deal to star in new Untitled Sexy Thriller Project. Not only included in the cast, but he will also serve as the executive producer of the film alongside Nathan Kahane from Mandate Pictures. The plot of the movie hasn't been revealed.
The movie's script is written by Leslie Dixon who will also produce the thriller project along with Greg Shapiro from "
The Hurt Locker" and Jason Barrett from "
17 Again". Meanwhile, the director of the movie hasn't been determined yet.
Zac Efron's involvement in the upcoming film marks another step in his evolution from teen idol with his role in "High School Musical" to a more mature movie star. Previously, the actor dropped out from
Footloose" remake as a way to distance himself from his image in the teen musical flick. Recently, he also has made cameo appearance in HBO's comedy "Entourage".
