Farrah Fawcett passed away after a long battle with cancer at the age of 62. She died at St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica, California on Thursday, June 25 at 9:28 A.M.
Saying his condolence due to her death, Fawcett's longtime partner Ryan O'Neal states, "She's gone. She now belongs to the ages," adding that she received the last rites of the Catholic Church. "She was with her team when she passed ... Her eyes were open, but she didn't say anything. But you could see in her eyes that she recognized us."
"She's now with her mother and sister and her God. I loved her with all my heart. I will miss her so very, very much," he continues. "She was in and out of consciousness. I talked to her all through the night. I told her how very much I loved her. She's in a better place now."
O'Neal actually has planned to marry Fawcett, but he cannot realize it because of her condition. "There just wasn't time, and Farrah wasn't in any condition to do it," he claims. O'Neal along with some families and friends plan to honor Fawcett with a funeral service at a Catholic cathedral in Los Angeles in the next few days.
Farrah Fawcett was famous for her role as vivacious Jill Munroe on TV "Charlie's Angels". She was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006, but after undergoing some chemotherapy and radiation, she was cancer-free. However, a year later, doctors found the disease had returned.
Though she realized that she had to battle the cancer, Fawcett managed an upbeat look. In April, her friend and co-producer of "Farrah's Story" Alana Stewart told EW, "She's always been positive. Her spirits have always been good throughout this ordeal."
