Shia LaBeouf was taping "Today" on Thursday, June 25 when he got many female fans waiting at the Rockefeller Center to get a glimpse of him. One of them, Samantha, was probably the luckiest girl that morning as she had a chance to meet the actor who called her "sweetheart".
Shia was promoting his new flick "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" on the show and was excited when knowing that there was a girl waiting to meet him outside the studio. After watching Samantha gave a small interview, the actor commented, "I like Samantha a lot. She seems like a real special person. I would love to meet her - is she here?"
Actually, Samantha asked producer of the talk show Matt Lauer to bring Shia out of the studio, but Matt decided to bring her inside. The 20-year-old girl then walked in to the studio and brought a cup of coffee for her celebrity crush.
Shia then greeted Samantha, "You look great. Is this your, 'Morning, hi. Say nice things to Shia,' outfit?" She replied, "It is! I've been planning this all week, and I bought this floral skirt especially! I can't believe this." The show's host Meredith Vieira gave her seat to the female fan and let Samantha interview her idol.
Samantha who looked nervous said, "I don't know what to ask? I'm in shock? What kind of girl are you interested in - honestly. Just be honest." Shia answered, "All kinds. Seriously, being honest with you, I don't have a specific. I don't have a girlfriend. What are you doing the rest of the day? My day is boring."
Samantha told Shia that she had friends waiting outside and the film star screamed, "Four friends?! Let's round up the troops already!" She then asked him to say hello to her pals. Before the session was over, Shia thanked Meredith for the "love connection".
