Michael Jackson may be buried in his Islamic faith as a source has reported that his family plans a Muslim burial.
reportedly has converted to Islam in late 2008 and adopted the name Mikaeel, which is the name of one of Allah's angels. Now, when there is still question of where the late superstar will be laid to rest, a new report has just emerged that he will be buried in a traditional Muslim funeral.
"The family is considering following the Muslim burial traditions because they believe Michael would have wanted to be laid to rest in keeping with his new-found religious beliefs," a source close to the family stated. The insider continued telling , "Michael's brother Jermaine is educating the family as to the special rites because he feels it's important to bury his brother according to the Muslim way."
Previously, there was rumor that Michael's body will be embalmed instead of being buried in his Islamic faith. The speculation raised since there was no indication that his body would be buried within two days of his death as dictated by the Koran.
