Katie Holmes will promote her new non-profit organization, Dizzy Feet Foundation, by performing on the 100th episode of 'So You Think You Can Dance'.
Katie Holmes is set to perform on "So You Think You Can Dance" to promote brand-new Dizzy Feet Foundation, for which she serves as one of its founding members. The executive producer and judge of the show, Nigel Lythgoe, confirmed about the matter on Wednesday, July 1.
Lythgoe said the 30-year-old actress will perform for the reality contest's 100th episode, which is scheduled to be aired on July 23. Holmes is going to pay homage to Judy Garland. She will also sing and dance to Garland's classic "Get Happy" in a taped number.
"I like to sing and dance, so this has been really fun," Holmes admitted. "I think it's important to let kids experience music and dancing and singing and the arts and also sports. This is the next generation, and I think it's important to give them every opportunity to grow and discover what it is that they like."
Dizzy Feet Foundation is a non-profit organization created by Katie Holmes along with Nigel Lythgoe, director/choreographer Adam Shankman, and "Dancing with the Stars" judge Carrie Ann Inaba. The organization aims to support dance education and programs, as well as give dance scholarships to undeserved and at-risk youth.
