At it has been planned, Madonna paid tribute to late Michael Jackson at her concert on Saturday, July 4 in London. During the show which took place at O2 Arena, the same venue where Michael was going to stage his great comeback show, the female singer urged the audience to commemorate the King of Pop by inviting Michael's impersonator on stage.
As Madonna sang "Holiday", one of her dancers, who dressed in Michael's fashion style with white glove, black leather jacket matched with black hat, appeared on the stage. The impersonator, whom she later identified as Kento, performed Michael's moonwalk with a medley of Michael's hits "Billie Jean" and "Wanna Be Startin' Something" being played.
In addition, some images of young Michael were displayed on a giant screen. Madonna clapped her hands to cheer the impersonator who was performing Michael's moves before she shouted to the crowd, "Let's give it up for one of the greatest artists the world has ever known. Michael Jackson: Long live the king! Michael Jackson."
Toward the end of the show, the Queen of Pop and each of her dancers wore one black armband and single white glove to honor Michael while the lyrics of his song "Man in the Mirror" flashed on the screen behind her.
