Pics, Michael Jackson's 25,000 U.S. Dollars Casket Arriving at Staples Center

A 25,000 U.S. dollars casket which carries the body of Michael Jackson has been seen arriving at the L.A.'s Staples Center, where his memorial service is held.

A gold plated casket that carried the body of Michael Jackson was photographed arriving at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning, July 7. It was brought by a black car which was followed by some other cars.

The memorial service for the King of Pop was scheduled to be held at the venue at 10:00 A.M. Outside the building, there were lots of bouquets of flowers and the 50-year-old singer's pictures. Additionally, there was a big board which was full of condolences from his fans. Jackson's longtime friend and adviser, Rev. Jesse Jackson, was also seen coming to the Staples Center.

Michael Jackson passed away on June 25 after suffering cardiac arrest. As it has been reported before, he would be buried in a "$25,000, solid bronze, 14-karat gold plated, and custom casket". About the memorial service, AEG Live, the organizer of the event, gave 17,500 free tickets for randomly selected fans who registered at the venue's website over the weekend.

Recently, the Jackson family's publicists announced some stars who were expected to participate in the memorial service. Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson, John Mayer, Usher, Stevie Wonder, Kobe Bryant, Brooke Shields, Magic Johnson, Lionel Richie, and Berry Gordy were scheduled to pay tribute to Jackson during the ceremony.
