Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato to Return in 'Camp Rock 2'

Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato are among the cast who will reprise their roles in 'Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam' and will start shooting this summer.

"Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" is on the works. Some of the movie's original cast, including Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato, will back to the second film. Additionally, Meaghan Jette Martin, Maria Canals Barrera, Alyson Stoner and Daniel Fathers are among other stars who will reprise their roles in the sequel.

However, "Camp Rock 2" will be handled by new director and writer. The sequel of musical film "Camp Rock" will be directed by Paul Hoen. Meanwhile, Dan Berendsen has teamed up with Karin Gist and Regina Hicks, who wrote the first flick, to be the screenwriters of the second installment of the Disney Channel movie.

In the movie, the Jonas boys and Demi are returning to their Camp Rock and finding that some of the students and instructors have ditched it for nearby rival Camp Star. "Camp Rock 2" will borrow its plot from Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet", particularly when Camp Rock's Nate, portrayed by Nick Jonas, falls for Chloe Bridges' Dana, the daughter of Camp Star's owner.

"Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" will begin its production this summer and the flick is scheduled to be released in 2010. Beside 17-year-old classical pianist Chloe Bridges, another new star who will join the cast for the sequel is popular hip-hop artist Matthew Finley.
