Kris Allen is forced to cancel his scheduled appearance on 'The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien' later this week because of the death of his grandmother.

Kris Allen won't become a guest star on "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien" on Wednesday, July 15. He is forced to cancel the scheduled appearance due to the death of his grandmother.
"I know I was supposed to do conan on wed, but there was a death in my family," Allen announced in his Twitter page. A moment after that, the Arkansas singer confirmed that his fellow contestant on "Idol",
Allison Iraheta, will replace him to make an appearance on the late night television show. "And by filling in I mean [Allison] is gonna rock Conan's face off on Wednesday," Allen added.
Offering condolence to Allen for the loss of his grandmother, Iraheta tweeted, "Love ya man ... Keep yo head up." Additionally, another contestant of the reality singing competition, Anoop Desai, sent his sympathy via Twitter, posting "I know kris appreciates all the concern-- keep his family in your thoughts."
