Christian Bale Sporting Skeleton Body on 'The Fighter' Set

Photographed on the set of his upcoming movie 'The Fighter', Christian Bale looks very thin and has cut his hair for the sake of his role.

Christian Bale looks to have lost a significant amount of weight and thinned his hair when he was spotted filming his upcoming movie "The Fighter" on Monday afternoon, July 13. Being photographed on the set in Los Angeles, the actor was seen wearing a blue stripped T-shirt and eating an apple. He also has shaved clean his mustache.

Billed to portray the role of a welterweight boxer who turns to be a drug addict, Christian thus has to reduce his weight. "I've had to loose a great deal of weight because he was a welterweight," he said during an interview with MTV Movies Blog in late June. "The Fighter" itself centers on the real life of boxer Micky Ward, who is played by Mark Wahlberg.

This year, Christian Bale's flicks which have been released including "Terminator Salvation" and "Public Enemies". Although the Terminator film was notably succeed, the British star has stated that he won't reprise his role on another sequel of the movie, claiming "I like doing different styles of movies."
