Chris Weitz, the director of Robert Pattinson's 'The Twilight Saga's New Moon', reveals several artists who are currently being considered to work on the movie's soundtrack.
There has been speculation about who will be featured in the soundtrack of
Robert Pattinson's "
The Twilight Saga's New Moon". The film's director Chris Weitz finally opens up about several artists who are currently being considered to work on the soundtrack. "Alexandre Desplat has just started working on his music for the film, and we are just starting to put together what bands are on the soundtrack, so it's kind of like keeping ten plates spinning at once," Weitz says in an interview with Rotten Tomatoes.
"Fortunately, I'm not at the stage where I have to turn anybody down yet, because everything is still kind of up in the air, but I am surprised at some of the bands that have said they're interested. It's kind of great," the director tells . "The criterion will still always be what's right for the movie at that given moment, but
Thom Yorke is interested; we might, if we're very lucky, get
Kings of Leon to do something ... it's exciting to be able to have access to this kind of talent."
In response to the Weitz's statement, Kings of Leon's lead singer Caleb Followill tells Entertainment Weekly, "Not as of right now, no." Then, he adds, "I haven't had any time to write any music, we've been so busy ... I would have to write a song in my hotel room, which I think we might could do, but I don't know. As of right now I'm more focused on getting some rest and writing another album."
