Making an appearance at "Late Show with David Letterman" on Monday, July 20, Katherine Heigl shared her feelings about the first day of filming a new season for her TV series "Grey's Anatomy". "Our first day back was Wednesday and it was - I'm going to keep saying this because I hope it embarrasses them - a 17-hour day, which I think is cruel and mean," she told the show's host David Letterman.
In the same interview, the 30-year-old beauty admitted she really missed her co-star T.R. Knight, who won't appear again on the drama-comedy series' upcoming 6th season that will be broadcast on ABC on September 24. "It was actually kind of really great to be back. All my friends are there and at this point, they're sort of like family, but it was a little weird because [T.R.]'s not there anymore," Heigl testified.
On "Grey's Anatomy", Katherine Heigl portrays Dr. Isobel 'Izzie' Stevens, who was last seen in an ambiguous scene after undergoing a brain tumor surgery. Though she refused to unveil the fate of her character, Heigl hinted at the plot of the story, saying "You last saw Izzie, you know, flatlining. So, I won't give it away but, you know, I'm there so I'm either there as a ghost, on the other side or I survived a disease no one survives."
