Roger Federer Becomes Father of Twin Girls
has become a father. His wife Miroslava Vavrinec a.k.a. Mirka gave birth to their twin girls, called Myla Rose and Charlene Riva, on Thursday, July 23 in Switzerland. The tennis player announced the happy news on his official website and Facebook page.

"I have some exciting news to share with you," Roger started his statement on Facebook. He then detailed, "Late last night, in Switzerland, Mirka and I became proud parents of twin girls. We named them Myla Rose and Charlene Riva and they are both healthy, and along with their mother they are doing great." The athlete then added, "This is the best day of our lives."

The new born daughters are the first children for Roger Federer and former tennis player Miroslava Vavrinec. The couple met in 2000 when they were competing for Switzerland in the Sydney Olympics. They got married in April 2009 after Roger announced on March 12 that Mirka was pregnant.
