Scarlett Johansson has admitted that she freaked out when she first saw how the costume of Black Widow, the character she has portrayed in "Iron Man 2", was going to be alike. "I did have a bit of a freakout moment," the actress stated during the movie panel at 2009 San Diego Comic Con. She added, "It was more seeing it. The costume took a while to build it obviously, but I saw some of the sketches."
However, Scarlett didn't let her first impression of the Black Widow costume control her professional attachment to the movie. "I knew what to expect because I had seen some of the later incarnations of the character. I knew that it was going to be some sort of catsuit of some kind," she stated, before claiming "So I had a freakout moment, but that only lasted about half a day, and I said 'Suck it up. You just gotta do it.'"
During the same event, Scarlett was also asked by Movies Online whether she was happy with the way she looked in the black leather suit. "Finally I was, yes. I have to say that you put that much work into something and you put it on, and you better be happy with it," she answered, although she confessed that "it was crazy to see it for the first time."
Scarlett additionally claimed the Black Widow costume "was pretty sweet" and called it "warm and stretchy." Moreover, the "The Nanny Diaries" star expressed her willingness to don the outfit again if her Black Widow character will appear in other "Iron Man" installments. "Maybe some slight flaws will have been worked out. Like maybe some ventilation," the Ryan Reynolds' wife stated.
