Todd J. Greenwald, the executive producer of 'Wizards of Waverly Place', says Joe Jonas has auditioned for the role of Justin Russo.
Joe Jonas will join
Selena Gomez to star on her TV series "Wizards of Waverly Place". The TV show's executive producer, Todd J. Greenwald, confirms that the member of
Jonas Brothers has auditioned for the role of Justin Russo, which was initially played by
David Henrie. "Fun Fact: Joe Jonas auditioned for the role of Justin," Todd tweeted.
"Wizards of Waverly Place" was first aired on Disney Channel on September 12, 2008. The comedy-family series is currently in the production of its 2nd season. The story centers on the family of Selena Gomez's Alex Russo. While each member of the family lives a normal life, nobody knows that they are actually wizards.
Recently, several new stills from "Wizards vs. Vampires: Dream Date", the 28th episode of the TV show, were unveiled. In a pic, Selena, who sports fake frizzy hair, is snapped talking to her dating partner Daniel Samonas' Dean in a living room. Then,
Jake T. Austin is also featured in one particular shot.
