'[The tape] is not real,' says Leighton Meester when addressing her sex tape rumors that emerged two months ago.

Leighton Meester finally addresses rumors of her being videotaped making love with her boyfriend. "[The tape] is not real. So it makes me sort of sad. It's unfortunate that it got carried as far as it did," she says of the sex tape.
"I definitely understand the nature of people better now and that the mere allegation of something like that could be headline news," she tells in its September issue. "People think it's real because somebody says it is."
Rumors that Leighton Meester has a sex tape first appeared in June. The video, which was believed to be taken few years ago, reportedly shows the 23-year-old beauty and her boyfriend getting naked. She is also filmed performing a kinky act with her feet.
At that time, the clip was said "being shopped around the town". Spokesperson for celebhotline.com, Kevin Blatt, said his company would like to buy the rights of the footage. "We've seen the tape and we're hoping to close the deal," Blatt told TMZ.
