Robert Pattinson Voted 2009 U.K. Glamour's Sexiest Man on the Planet

Topping 2009 U.K. Glamour's 50 Sexiest Men on the Planet list, Robert Pattinson beats other famous male stars, including Johnny Depp, Hugh Jackman, and David Beckham.

British hunk Robert Pattinson is chosen as the sexiest man on the planet in 2009 by the readers of U.K. Glamour magazine. The publication has conducted the poll to an estimated 2000 girls and it seems that they praise the 23-year-old heartthrob for his starring role as vampire Edward Cullen on "Twilight".

Achieving sudden raise of fame after starring on the 2008 movie, Pattinson recently admitted that he didn't consider himself attractive. "I'm so surprised things have actually worked out the way they have," he said. "I am just thinking the whole time: 'I don't really have the right personality to fit into that kind of role' ... I don't know if I could ever really be cast in a heartthrob role really - apart from 'Twilight', which I didn't really know was a heartthrob role. I really don't feel I am one."

Grabbing the first position, Pattinson beats Johnny Depp, who can next be seen starring as The Mad Hatter on "Alice in Wonderland". The 45-year-old hottie only secures the second position on the list. "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" star Hugh Jackman, in the meantime, takes the third spot. Seizing the fourth rank is football player David Beckham, who has three children from his marriage with Victoria Adams.
