Gaelan Connell, the depicter of Will Burton on musical flick "Bandslam", is obliged to make out with his co-star Vanessa Hudgens on the film. Sharing his feelings when doing a kissing scene with the "High School Musical" star, the 20-year-old actor says, "Vanessa's kiss was like day five of the shooting, and I had just met her."
"I'm like real nervous. I'm kind of like freaking out. When I get nervous, the blood leaves my hands, so they get that weird tingly feeling," Connell tells E! Online about the shooting time. "So, I'm sitting there, trying to shake them. She kind of looks at me like, Gaelan, why are you freaking out? And I'm looking at her like, Oh, come on. Like you're really into this?"
Connell's character on the movie, which is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on August 14, is described as a geek who joins a high school rock group to compete in a local battle of the bands. Beside making out with Hudgens, he has to do a kissing scene with Alyson Michalka, who portrays Charlotte Banks/Aly Michalka on the film.
About his making-out scene with Michalka, Connell opens up, "Aly's kiss scene was actually the last night of the movie." Then, he continues, "She pulled me aside and said, 'Hey, Gaelan. This kiss better look friggin' amazing!' And I was like, 'Sure, OK, that's cool.'"
