Zac Efron Among the Early Winners at 2009 Teen Choice Awards

Zac Efron has brought home three gongs from 2009 Teen Choice Awards. The actor, who attended the event with his girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens, won Comedy Movie Actor and Rockstar Moment for "17 Again". He also received an award for Music/Dance Movie Actor for his performance in "High School Musical 3: Senior Year".

Joining Zac, another hunk who received the award that night was "Twilight" actor Taylor Lautner. He accepted his surfboard for Choice Movie: Fresh Face Male. Meanwhile, Britney Spears, who was reported to make an appearance at the award show, has shown up on the stage to receive the Ultimate Choice award.

In TV category, "Gossip Girl" stars Chace Crawford and Leighton Meester were also among the early winners at the event. Both of them won Drama Actor and Actress respectively. The CW series, additionally, picked up Drama TV Series award. The full list of winners can be seen at The Associated Press.

2009 Teen Choice Awards is held at Universal Studios Hollywood's Gibson Amphitheatre in California on Sunday afternoon, August 9. The 11th annual ceremony, in which the winners were decided by teenagers votes, is hosted by Jonas Brothers who kicked off the show with their performance of "Much Better". The event will be aired on FOX Monday, August 10 at 8 P.M. AT/PT.
