Daniel Radcliffe says he isn't interested to star on adventure-fantasy movie 'The Hobbit', claiming he doesn't want to get involved in any project with 'any wizards in it'.
"Harry Potter" star
Daniel Radcliffe says he doesn't want to become one of the actors of 2011 adventure-fantasy movie "
The Hobbit". He recently told Los Angeles Times that he had no interest to get involved in any project with "any wizards in it."
"I'd have to say, 'Thanks but no thanks,' not that anyone has asked me," Daniel said. "Honestly, I don't think they would want me anyway, it's just too close. Whatever I do next, I don't think there will be any wizards in it!"
Before 2009 San Diego Comic Con last month, there were some speculations that the producer of "The Hobbit", Peter Jackson, considered some stars, including Daniel Radcliffe,
James McAvoy, and
David Tennant, to star as the film's leading character, Bilbo Baggins. However, Peter, who previously directed "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, soon denied the reports, saying "It's not something I know anything about. No one's talked with me."
As for Daniel, he thought James, who portrayed Mr. Tumnus on "
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe", would be prefect for the role. "James McAvoy is fantastic. I think he should play it. I've done the fantasy-film thing. Actually, so has he, with the 'Chronicles of Narnia,' of course. But I've done it for longer. He can take over. I'm done. I don't think anybody involved in that would want me to, either," Daniel said.
