Music video for Jay-Z's "Run This Town" has been leaked. As it has been reported before, Rihanna and Kanye West, who are featured in the song, also appear in the new music video.
The video is opened with a group of people in dark clothes who makes noise by hitting sticks they are holding. Jay-Z then is seen putting off a mask from his face. The rapper also appears together with Rihanna and Kanye while they are walking in what seems to be a tunnel. At some scenes, the Beyonce Knowles' husband also sings among the crowd.
"The song is about evolution and the progress," Jay-Z previously stated about his song. "You start out as a new artist and you make your way into the game. You climb that mountain and you get to the top and you put your flag down. This is us putting our flag down. This is Roc Nation. Pledge your allegiance. You've got to put your flag at the top of the mountain and say we run this town."
"Run This Town", directed by Anthony Mandler, is taken from Jay-Z's upcoming album "The Blueprint 3", which is going to be released in U.S. on September 11. Jay-Z filmed the music video along with Rihanna and Kanye West on August 6 at the borough of Queens in New York City. The threesome, additionally, will perform the song on the premiere night of NBC's "The Jay Leno Show" on September 14.
