Hinting at the upcoming second season of 'Dollhouse', Eliza Dushku claims the romance between her character Echo and Tahmoh Penikett's Ballard will be heating up.
Eliza Dushku says the romance between her character Echo and Tahmoh Penikett's Ballard will be heating up on "Dollhouse" second season, which will be premiered on Fox September 25. "Echo doesn't know entirely what's going on yet ... [but] as she becomes more and more self-aware, she's recognizing this constant, tall, dark, looming man in the 'Dollhouse,'" the 28-year-old actress tells E! Online.
Tahmoh then explains further, "They have a connection. It's not a physical attraction, but I hope it's something that we explore a lot more this season." Soon after that, he continues telling , "You're not quite sure what it is. There's a past, there's a history, there's an understanding between them that's very different. I think the audience is really going to like it and be really curious about where we're going in the first few episodes."
"Dollhouse" follows an organization that employs mind-wiped DNA-altered humans, known as Dolls, who are implanted with false memories and skills for various missions and tasks. When they are not 'at work', they are living in a real life. One of those mind-wiped humans, a young woman named Echo, is slowly starting to become aware of herself and what's going on around her.
Hinting at the upcoming series, Eliza says there will be a new look on the show. "We're shooting with a different style and shooting HD, and it makes it that much more realistic. That supernatural haze, that science-fiction haze, has been lifted, and it makes it all that much more possible," she says.
