America Ferrera was snapped filming some scenes for the upcoming season of "Ugly Betty" in New York City on Tuesday, August 25. Donning a giant glittering sausage costume, the depicter of Betty Suarez on the series was photographed showing off her glum face. During the filming, the 25-year-old star also wore big glasses and braces, which she has sported on the previous seasons of the show.

On July 30, it was reported that Betty Suarez would get a makeover on the series' 4th season, which will be broadcast on October 9. Entertainment Weekly reported ABC has appointed "a round of focus groups" to change the appearance of the Mode's new associate features editor. "She looks a lot classier, but she's still far from perfect," an executive for the TV station said.

Several days later, Ferrera was reported showing off Suarez's new look while filming the hit show. At that time, she was snapped donning a red dress matched with a necklace, yellow socks, and flip-flops. She, moreover, was no longer wearing her braces. "She's getting glammed up. She's still Betty, just Betty 2.0.," an insider talked about the new appearance of the show's leading character.
