Beyonce Knowles is slated to take the stage of 2009 MTV Video Music Awards to perform 'Sweet Dreams', which comes from her 2008 studio album 'I Am...Sasha Fierce'.
It has been confirmed that
Beyonce Knowles will perform at 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, which will be broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on September 13 . She will take the stage to perform "Sweet Dreams", which is taken from her 2008 studio album entitled "I Am...Sasha Fierce".
Beyonce's scheduled performance at the upcoming event will mark the third time that she takes the stage at the annual awards show. She first performed at the event in 2003, during when she shared the stage with her husband
Jay-Z to serenade "Crazy in Love". Then, in 2006, the 27-year-old songstress performed the fiery version of her single "Ring the Alarm".
In addition to Beyonce, Jay-Z has been announced as one of the other performers at this year's show. However, there has been no word whether or not the two will share the stage. Beside the married couple,
Lady GaGa,
Taylor Swift,
Green Day,
Pink and
Muse will all perform at the event.
On Wednesday, August 26, a new promotional video for 2009 MTV Video Music Awards was released. The one-minute clip shows
Russell Brand, who will return as the host of the show, flirting with
Britney Spears and asking her to sleep with him.
