The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office has officially announced that Michael Jackson's death has been ruled homicide and was caused by an 'acute propofol intoxication.'
The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office has released a statement, which affirms previous report, that
Michael Jackson's death has been ruled homicide. "Cause of death was established as acute propofol intoxication. Other conditions contributing to death: benzodiazepine," so read the statement released on August 28.
The statement also mentioned, "The drugs propofol and Lorazepam were found to be the primary drugs responsible for Mr. Jackson's death. Other drugs detected were midazolam, diazepam, lidocaine, and ephedrine." Meanwhile, the final coroner's report, including a complete toxicology report, is still kept on security hold by the Los Angeles Police Department until investigations on the case are complete.
Following the announcement of official findings from Michael's death, the family has released a statement, saying "The Jackson family again wishes to commend the actions of the Coroner, the LAPD and other law enforcement agencies, and looks forward to the day that justice can be served."
Previously, a source from law enforcement official has told The Associated Press that the cause of Michael Jackson's death was a combination of drugs. It was also reported that the superstar's personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray admitted he injected his patient with 25 milligrams of propofol to help the singer sleep on early June 25, the day when Michael was found dead.
