Mandy Moore, DJ AM's ex-girlfriend, says she feels 'absolutely heartbroken' by the sudden death of the celebrity deejay on August 28.
"I am absolutely heartbroken," said when talking about the sudden death of her ex-boyfriend DJ AM. "For those of us lucky enough to have known him, Adam radiated a contagious exuberance for life and also personified the very definition of a true friend. To say that he will be missed beyond words is an understatement. My heart goes out to his loved ones," the 25-year-old songstress stated on Saturday afternoon, August 29.

Mandy Moore and DJ AM began dating in January 2007. Two months later, the twosome finally decided to end their romance. Though they were not together again, Moore and the 36-year-old deejay remained close. The pair was said briefly rekindling their love after he survived a Lear Jet tragedy in September 2008.

DJ AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, was found dead at his seventh-floor apartment on Lafayette Street in New York City on Friday afternoon, August 28. At that time, a police source said, his dead body was found "face down" and shirtless in his bedroom.

On the next day, TMZ reported that an autopsy performed on DJ AM's body has been completed, but the results are still inconclusive. New York Medical Examiner's officer claimed further toxicology tests, which are needed to determine the official cause of his death, will take several weeks to be completed.
