Confirming that she wants to pursue her acting career further, Audrina Patridge has admitted she will be the latest cast member of 'The Hills' who is stepping away from the show.
Audrina Patridge has revealed that she will be the latest cast member of "The Hills" who leaves the reality TV series. Being interviewed on Sunday, August 30 in Los Angeles, where she was promoting her upcoming thriller "
Sorority Row", the 24-year-old beauty said she is "almost done with 'The Hills'".
"We're in the middle of finishing these episodes, and I'll be leaving then," Audrina told the press during the junket. She then added with a laugh, "It feels like I'm graduating. I'm taking the next step and growing up and maturing and moving on in my life."
Audrina also admitted that she is going to pursue her acting career even further after leaving the MTV show. "I moved to Los Angeles to be an actress, and before I got onto 'The Hills', I was going to auditions and castings and working full-time at [film studios] Quixote Studios and Smashbox," she claimed.
However, Audrina credited "The Hills" to have helped her feeling "comfortable in front of the cameras." "I feel like it's helped me a lot going to auditions and sitting in front of the camera... blocking the camera out and just getting into character," she explained.
Audrina Patridge is currently developing her own reality show with "Survivor" producer Mark Burnett. Previously, she was reported to be interested in appearing in "Dancing with the Stars", but the bosses of MTV allegedly did not allow her to do so.
As for "The Hills", its new season will be premiered on MTV September 29 with additional cast member
Kristin Cavallari.
Lauren Conrad has left the reality series at the end of the last season while
Heidi Montag and
Spencer Pratt are still in the show.
