Young actor Daniel Radcliffe has experienced his first injury during the filming of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". Talking to One magazine in a recent interview, the 20-year-old star admitted that he received a black eye when he shot the last installment of the "Harry Potter" film series.
"So far, I never had anything too serious happen, except a few scratches," Radcliffe said. "But I'm happy because during the last film, 'Deathly Hallows', I finally got a big black eye [laughs]. I was shooting a scene where Harry fights a giant snake."
Recalling the accident, the movie star claimed, "It is well known that the Harry Potter films are huge productions so instead of a snake in front of me, our lead stunt man had a long stick at the end that had a boxing glove attached to it." He then continued, "I was taken by surprise and I got a good blow to the face that knocked me! I saw the scene in slow motion then, and it looks like I'm spread out like a real boxer. It had a lot of class [laughs]."
"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" will be divided into two films. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I" will be released in U.S. theaters on November 19, 2010, while "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II" will come out on July 15, 2011.
