LeAnn Rimes has announced that she finally decided to get divorced from husband of seven years Dean Sheremet, claiming the 'decision was amicable.'
After being reported to have been living apart,
LeAnn Rimes and her husband Dean Sheremet are finally divorcing. The singer/actress has, through a message posted her on website on Tuesday, September 1, announced, "After much thoughtful mutual consideration, Deane [her husband's given name] and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage."
"This decision was amicable and we remain committed and caring friends with great admiration for one another," LeAnn explained. She then thanked her fans, writing "Thank you so much for all of your continued love and support - it is deeply appreciated."
LeAnn Rimes and Dean Sheremet got married in 2002 when she was 19 years old. In April 2009, the singer was accused of cheating on her husband after allegedly being snapped kissing her "
Northern Lights" co-star
Eddie Cibrian. Though the actor has denied that he had a special relationship with the "Can't Fight the Moonlight" songstress, their romance rumors kept swirling.
In late August, LeAnn was spotted hanging out with Eddie for several times. Later, it was reported that Eddie has filed for divorce from wife Brandi Glanville, who claimed she has told LeAnn that "he's all yours".
