After canceling their Saratoga show due to DJ AM's shocking death, Blink-182 apparently are not ready to hit the stage again as they are postponing two more of their shows. The band have rearranged the schedule for their concert in St. Louis, Missouri, which was supposed to be on Wednesday, September 2, to be held on September 29. They have also moved the show in Cleveland, Ohio, to September 30 from its original schedule on September 3.
The announcement of the reshuffling is posted on the blog that belongs to the band's bassist, Mark Hoppus, at 1:00 P.M on Tuesday, September 1. "After much thought and consideration, Blink-182 has rescheduled their next two shows in order for Travis Barker to mourn the loss of his dear friend Adam Goldstein. Blink-182 will now play St. Louis, MO on Sept 29 and Cleveland, OH on Sept 30," the post read.
Hoppus further explained that the reshuffling of those concerts led to the rescheduling of the gigs in Charlotte, North Carolina and Atlanta, Georgia. "To accommodate the change, shows in Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA have also moved to October 6th and 7th respectively," he wrote. "All previously purchased tickets will be honored and the band will resume their current tour on September 4th in Kansas City, MO. Travis, Mark and Tom would like to thank all their fans for their support during this difficult time."
Meanwhile, Taking Back Sunday and Weezer that are set to play as the openers for Blink-182, also confirmed that the show on Cleveland has been postponed. Taking Back Sunday's guitarist, Eddie Reyes, tweeted that he will perform again in Kansas City, and Weezer's representative offered Altpress similar story.
On Monday, August 31, Blink-182 had called off their performance in Saratoga Performing Art Center, New York for the same reason. "Due to circumstances surrounding the unfortunate and untimely passing of our dear friend Adam 'DJ AM' Goldstein, Blink-182 will not be playing tonight in Saratoga, NY at SPAC," statement from the band read.
