Travis Barker has been snapped attending DJ AM's funeral service, which was held at Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary in Los Angeles on Wednesday, September 2.
DJ AM, who was found dead in his New York City apartment on August 28, has been laid to rest on Wednesday, September 2. The celebrity deejay's friend,
Travis Barker, was seen attending the private funeral service, donning a stripped outfit matched with sunglasses.
At about 3:00 P.M., Barker along with AM's friends and family began to congregate at Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary in Los Angeles for a funeral service honoring the deejay, whose real name is Adam Goldstein. Seen among the guests were DJ Jazzy Jeff and "
Ocean's Twelve" actor Scott Caan.
Then, at around 4:00 P.M., the service, which was held in the mortuary, moved outside. Later, the procession was continued with some cars followed by the hearse to the back of one of L.A.'s most prominent Jewish cemeteries for the somber burial.
On the same day, it was also announced that a memorial for the late 36-year-old performer will be held at the Hollywood Palladium on Thursday, September 3 at 7:00 P.M. The invitation read, "the format of the evening will be in the style of an open 12-step meeting. Adam's friends both from his life in recovery, as well as those from other areas of his life, are welcome."
Recently, an official told Us Magazine that there were six prescription pills found in DJ AM's stomach and one in his throat when he was found dead of an apparent drug overdose in his apartment. According to the official, the pills appear to be powerful painkillers OxyContin.
