Idina Menzel and 'Private Practice' actor Taye Diggs have, through the actress' Twitter page, announced the name of their first baby, who was born on Wednesday, September 2.

Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs, has welcomed their first baby on Wednesday, September 2. On the next day, the twosome took to the actress' Twitter page to announce the name of the baby boy, writing "Idina & Taye have welcomed baby Walker Nathaniel Diggs into the world, my friends! More details to come. Congratulations!!" About the birth of the baby, their representatives tell People, "Mother, father and son are all doing well."
Broadway star Idina Menzel and "Private Practice" actor Taye Diggs first met on the original 1996 Broadway production of "Rent". After dating for seven years, the twosome finally decided to get hitched on January 11, 2003.
In March this year, both Idina and Taye announced they were expecting their first child. When making an appearance at a Television Critics Association event, the 38-year-old actor admitted that he was "asking every parent" for advice. "We have a couple [names in mind]. But a friend of ours convinced us to see what he looks like when he comes out," Taye said, claiming he and Idina won't choose a name until their baby was born.
