Appearing as one of the members of wolf pack in 'The Twilight Saga's New Moon', Kiowa Gordon has admitted that he looks to Taylor Lautner, the depicter of Jacob Black, for inspiration.
Kiowa Gordon has just joined the cast ensemble of "
Twilight" sequel "
The Twilight Saga's New Moon" as Embry Call. Considering his lack of experience to portray a werewolf character, the Hualapai-born actor has revealed that he has taken a lesson from
Taylor Lautner, the depicter of Jacob Black in "Twilight Saga" films.
"Yeah. And he's really buff, so we look to that too," Kiowa said with laugh to MTV, admitting that he and other new stars who portray werewolves look to Taylor for inspiration. Kiowa additionally revealed that he had to practice hard to have Taylor's muscular body, recalling "Yeah, well, when we showed up, they were like, 'We got you a personal trainer. You guys are gonna train hard!' And so we were like, 'Sweet, we get to work out!' And it was really fun."
During the interview, Kiowa was also asked whether or not he shares any scenes in "New Moon" with the film's leading actors,
Robert Pattinson and
Kristen Stewart. "No, nothing with Rob. We don't meet the vampires yet. We know [the Cullens], and we don't like them, so we don't like playing with them," he stated before then adding, "But Kristen and Taylor, we have a couple scenes together."
"The Twilight Saga's New Moon" centers on Kristen Stewart's Bella Swan who is devastated by the abrupt departure of her vampire lover Robert Pattinson's Edward Cullen. However, her spirit is rekindled by her growing friendship with the irresistible Taylor Lautner's Jacob Black. The movie is going to hit U.S. theaters on November 20.
