26-year-old Carrie Underwood has released the final version of her new single, entitled "Cowboy Casanova", in her official website on Thursday, September 3. The winner of "American Idol" fourth season co-wrote the song along with Brett James, who has written her single "Jesus, Take the Wheel", and Mike Elizondo, who is best known for his works with some top-notch singers, such as Eminem, Jay-Z, and Dr. Dre.
"Cowboy Casanova" will be included in Underwood's third studio album "Play On", which is scheduled to be available for purchase in the U.S. on November 3. For the production of the album, she teams up with Mark Bright, who has worked on her 2007 album "Carnival Ride" as well as seven tracks off her 2005 album "Some Hearts".
In late August, the cover art for "Play On" was unveiled by USA Today. In the shot, Underwood is seen sitting with a white flower inserted on one of her ears and leaning her chin on her right hand.
