Set to make a special appearance at 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, Janet Jackson will pay musical tribute to his famous brother Michael Jackson, who died on June 25.
It has been confirmed that
Janet Jackson will make a special appearance at 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. Slated to open the event, the 43-year-old beauty will take the stage to pay musical tribute to his late brother
Michael Jackson.
Michael Jackson was pronounced dead on June 25 after suffering cardiac arrest. His memorial service was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on July 7. Then, on September 3, the King of Pop was finally laid to rest in a private ceremony at Holly Terrace in The Great Mausoleum at Glendale Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.
As for 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, it will be aired live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Sunday, September 13. Famous comedian
Russell Brand has been appointed to host the show, while
Chace Crawford,
Katy Perry, and
Ne-Yo are scheduled to present awards at the event.
