Set to perform 'You Belong With Me' at 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, Taylor Swift says she will surprise the show's audience by performing the tune differently.
At upcoming 2009 MTV Video Music Awards,
Taylor Swift is slated to take the stage to sing "You Belong with Me", which is taken from her 2008 studio album "Fearless". Speaking to MTV, the young country music songstress says she will give a surprise to the show's audience.
" 'You Belong with Me' is not going to be as different musically as it's going to be different in that I've never done anything on an awards show like I'm going to do on this one," Swift hints at her upcoming performance. "It's in New York, so anything can happen."
Later, the 19-year-old expresses her willingness to perform the track outside Radio City Music Hall in New York City, where the annual awards event will be held on Sunday, September 13. "I would love to perform somewhere outside of the venue. I think it could be really cool if it was unlike anything I've ever done at an awards show, which would mean doing it at a different location," she mentions.

Recently, blogger Perez Hilton commented on who will shine at the event, saying "I think, without a doubt, Gaga's gonna be that big star of the night, just because her performance really is next-level. That's the thing about her: She's always trying to top herself, and I think she's going to."
