Justin Timberlake Takes a Gold at 2009 Creative Arts Emmy Awards

has made new history at 2009 Creative Arts Emmy Awards, the TV Academy's walk-up to the Primetime Emmy Awards. At the event, which was held on Saturday, September 12 at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, the singer/actor took home Guest Actor award in Comedy Series category for his guest appearance in "Saturday Night Live", making him the first host of the show who wins award at the event.

Justin's win was not the only one for the NBC's show. Tina Fey also raked one gong for her spoof of Sarah Palin. "This would not be possible without Mrs. Palin...[who is] an inspiration to working mothers everywhere," Tina said when receiving the award.

The 61st Creative Arts Emmy Awards also becomes a rejoicing moment for as her TV series "Wizards of Waverly Place" won in Children's Program category. Meanwhile, also nabbed a nod in Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media category.

Overall, the winners that night were dominated by HBO which garnered 16 Emmys. It was then followed by NBC with 11 golds and Fox which took home 8 gongs. Meanwhile, PBS' "Little Dorrit" led all programs with four awards, including Best Cinematography for a Miniseries or Movie and Best Costumes for a Movie, Miniseries or a Special.

2009 Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which was hosted by , will be aired on Friday, September 18, at 1:00 P.M. ET/PT, on E! Entertainment Television. Meanwhile, the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards, which is going to be hosted by , will be aired on Sunday, September 20 at 8:00 P.M./7:00 P.M. CST on CBS.
